Carcassonne

My favorite game right now is Carcassonne.
It is named after an actual city in France known for it's walls and towers.
In the game you have square tiles that you take turns drawing and placing.  You get points for every castle and road you build.
There are also monasteries, commodities, and fields you can claim.
It's sounds super complicated when someone explains the rules to you, but you can catch on before the game is half over.

I'm passing on the love of this game to my daughter.
We played by the 18 month rules, which means drawing pieces and placing them very seriously and very randomly all over the table and scoring board.

What game are you passing down to your children?
